Legislative Data Policy
Where this data comes from
We display public legislative records — bills, votes, hearings, and submitted testimony — sourced from official government websites such as state legislatures and Congress. These are public records published by the governments themselves.
Documents are linked, not hosted
When we point to a source document, such as a bill text or a piece of submitted testimony, we link to the original file on the government website. We do not rehost or store these documents on our own servers.
Request a correction or flag a concern
If something we display is inaccurate, or you would like to raise a privacy concern about how a record appears on our site, email us at legislative-data@americanvoxpop.com. We review every request.
Corrections to the official record
Because we present records as published by the government, a change to the underlying record itself belongs with the legislature that originated it. We will update what we display once the official source is updated.
